Christmas Lights

This one was a last minute idea for a design. This will cut better on a larger scale. Metallic paper makes it stand out nicely, but any bright paper will do. Have the kids give to family and friends with hand prints. Makes for nice home made gifts. Enjoy!

Ornament

Here is a simple, but elegant ornament, I think, that may fill that empty spot on the home Christmas cards. Feel free to adjust to meet your needs. Do not forget about the glitter and metallic card stock! Create several sizes and use to display your greeting cards. Enjoy!

Merry Men

As Christmas approaches, we find ourselves in a mad hunt for fresh decorating ideas to beat last years creations. Here is one I played with for a while that may be a starting point for you. This cuts nicely on a large scale, but not so friendly in smaller scale, but can be edited to work. Place your wording on the scroll or make it a poster. Makes a great back drop for all your Christmas cards to be hung from. Show me your creations. Enjoy!

Fall Festival

Well by now we have had, or are having, several fall festival and concerts, either at church or school. Along with that comes bulletin boards, scrap books and decorations. Here is a simple file that may help you with this. You can change the colors, shapes, and words to make it what you want. Make different size, or flip the direction and make it a left or right hand to fit any situation. Send me pictures of what you have done to inspire me. Enjoy!

Football LO

Well, high school football season is coming to an end pretty soon. Along with all those ribbons and memorabilia your teens have collected, you may have a teen that plays for his school. This calls for a picture layout that needs to be displayed. Well, I have worked on a layout that may help display that pictures rather easily. This is meant to be used on an 8.5"x11" frame. I have layered the sheets, but feel free to make changes at will. This .svg includes a helmet and a football. Remember this for your library collection. Use metallic or textured paper, and don't forget to print out the schools logo. Hope you like! Enjoy!

Nemo Found

Well Halloween came and went, and I'm sure tons of homemade crafts were made to help decorate the home. Soon Christmas will be here, and we will start all over again with our creative ideas. Well, for those with little ones, here is a simple, yet famous, clown fish. It would make a nice card or poster. Make a freezer paper t-shirt or sweat shirt, as winter approaches. Lots of cool ideas to take shape, so have fun and send me your pics. Enjoy!

Guitar Hero

Here is one that was requested by a friend. Decorate your teens room or make them a t-shirt with this. Holiday cards should be made pretty soon, so get creative. Don't forget about glitter, fringe, and textured papers. Add additional graphics for wall art and scrap books. See what way you can spice this file up and let me know what you came up with. Enjoy!

The Night Before...

Since I haven't posted as regularly as I have wanted to, here is another .svg file for those who are seeking more Halloween projects. This would look nice on an goody bag or window art. Try using it on your scrapbook for all those pictures you will soon take. Use vinyl and make a window decal . Send me pictures of your creation. Enjoy!

Boo!

Well, the fall has crept up and is making room for winter. But with hollows eve on the mind of every sugar loving child, there is also a sense of spookiness. Behind every tree and around every corner awaits a scary thought that only our deepest fears can conjure. And with every imagination hard at work, so should your circuit be.

Here is a small file that can be cut out and glued to your candy hunters treat bag. Make a silhouette and mount to your window, or use to decorate your Halloween memories. Make a vinyl decal and place on your car...be creative. Who knows, you may surprise yourself. Enjoy!

All Shapes

Here is another file that I crafted. I was just looking at some pictures and drawn to this one. This works more as a silhouette, but can be so much more. Play with it and see what you can come with. Make sure to send me a pic of what you were able to make with it. Enjoy!

Play Time

Since I haven't posted anything in a while, I figured I would post a second .SVG file. This one has several cuts that can be made out of different colored / textured papers and layered to achieve a nice visual. Don't be shy about making them smaller, thicker or whatever your needs maybe. Have fun with it. Cut photos in round shapes and layer to fill gaps. Add swirls or flowers too! Enjoy!

Speed Racer

Here is a file that I worked on to pass the time. The mat can be adjusted to any size. You can layer as many of the race cars as you need to make it look just right. Play with colors in your picture. Try inserting race car logos of your choice. The race flag can be printed on transparency film or printed on white paper and a shadow cut out on SCAL. Their are so many things that you can do with race car file. What about cutting out the race cars on vinyl? Place on a lunch box, wall art...tool box? Try using initials instead of race car numbers? How about freezer paper t-shirts? How will you use it? Let me know...Enjoy!

Batman

Well another week has gone by and time for another post. Since the kids will be getting dressed up pretty soon, make sure you have your cameras ready and takes lots of pictures. And in preparation for some of those pictures, I have played around with this layout of sorts. You will have to crop out pictures, or just create another layout style that fits your needs. The "Batman" is more of the embellishment, if you will, for this week. Hope this helps get creative ideas going for you. As always, I'm more than happy to hear from you. Enjoy!

Power Drill

Here is one from the "Coming Soon" section as promised. This is an easy one for those pictures that are just laying around wanting somewhere to go. Kids, Grand Kids, Great Grand...you get the picture. A little cropping, a nice little frame, and you have instant artwork. And when you get more pictures, just give this one away and make a new one. Don't forget to send me your pictures! Let me know if you like this type of file so that I can keep posting. Enjoy!

Tire Swing

Well here is another post that I have had for a while, but never got around to finishing until today. I like making these to mount on scenic pictures that I have found. They make great artwork. As you already know, the holidays are around the corner and it's time to start making those gifts. You can't find picture frames cheap, and mats as well. Make sure you have a stiff piece of paper, a good mat, and a sharp blade, as there is plenty of detail, and if cut too small, it may move on you. I hope you like this. Take picture of your work and send to me please. Enjoy!

Panda

Well this weekend was a wet one here in Dallas TX, Somewhat of a gloomy day, looked like what a wet winter day will look like, minus the cold. So I pulled out some old files that I have been meaning to get to some day, you know, like that folder you have been filling up with files... or am I the only one? Anyways, I played around with this one to try and get it to cut right. It will need to be cut rather large, as there is much detail in this one, but I liked how it came out. There is plenty of art work out there, that just calls to be played with. What can you do with this? It needs to be cut with 6 different colors, all of your choice. Make sure to send me pics. Enjoy!

Surfs Up!

Well here is another.svg file I played around with today. It is 6 pieces, so when you export to SCAL, make sure you do not forget. This would look great on anything. A wall plaque, a t-shirt, a vinyl cut out, a scrap book, etc. I tried to make easy it to cut out. Let me know what you think. Please send me pictures of your finished product, and I will post. Enjoy!

50th Anniversary

While I was browsing through the SCAL community forum, I came across a post request for a 50th Anniversary .svg file. It got me in the creative mood and I came up with a little something. Wow, 50 years, how do you honor that? You can't throw cute puppies an butterflies, or bright colors.. they are beyond that. Then I thought, Less IS More! Sure we can add every flower and butterfly from our library, but sometimes the details get lost in the layers upon layers of of embellishments. Have you ever tried buying a greeting card and you pick out the brightest and busiest card out, but always seem to put it back? At first glance they stand out, but the one that makes it into the shopping cart is the one that conveys your sentiments effectively without all the distractions? Well that's simply my thoughts, what do you think? The more we know, the better our craft. By the way, I hope the requester is successful, no matter what she creates! Enjoy!

Little Lamb

This one I played around with just for fun. It could be used for a birthday card, just don't cut it too small, as the fine detail will be hard to cut. Place it dead center of a card and place flowers around it in layers. Show me what you can do with it. I may create one later and post. If you send me a pic of your creation, I will post it as well. Enjoy!

1st Car

Do you have any one getting there first new car? How about creating a keepsake with pictures and car information, or a copy of the tittle? Sound like a challenge? Try it! I have left the file with color so as to guide you on what colors to use. With Inscape, ungroup, separate and export out again as an .svg. Use SCAL to import and cut out. Simple right?...

I live in Texas, so of course it is a Texas License plate. Send me pics of your finished work. I like to see if this was is being created with these files. Enjoy!

Boy Bubbles

This one was made for a LO. I haven't tried it, but it seems to have potential. Cut pictures and place in the circles, or used colored cardstock and layer in. I thought of using it for vinyl wall art. Let me know how it works out for you. Enjoy!
